The field
A working country airport, well kept.
Finger Lakes Regional Airport sits on open farmland two miles southeast of Seneca Falls, midway between Cayuga and Seneca lakes. Owned and operated by Seneca County and in service since 1943, it is a public-use field with a 4,592-foot paved runway, an 1,850-foot turf crosswind runway, an open ramp and a small terminal building — no control tower.
For pilots, it is one of the easiest places in upstate New York to stop: two RNAV (GPS) approaches, self-serve 100LL and Jet A, plenty of parking, and the village of Seneca Falls a few minutes away. For the region, it is working infrastructure supporting agriculture, business travel, medical flights, training and recreation.

Seneca Falls, Waterloo and Geneva are all inside a fifteen-minute drive; Ithaca, Syracuse and Rochester are within an hour.
